1) Do a Right Trapeze. While the diabolo is sitting in the trapeze spinning, turn your left stick to point right toward the diabolo's axle. Imagine you are standing before a huge clock and the move left handstick to about 11 o'clock. The left stick's end still is pointing at the axle and the stick should now be at a 45 degree angle.
2) When you're ready let go of the left stick. As the stick begins to drop, turn your left hand over so your thumb is up and palm faces right ready to catch the soon-to-return left handstick. Move your hand above the right stick. (Note: Normally with a large diabolo you only need to let go of the stick, if your diabolo is a bit lighter in weight, you may need to push down the stick as it is leaving your hand. This problem can also happen if your hand sticks are heavier than most.)
3) The handstick should make a complete circle around the diabolo and back to the spot your hand is waiting. Your right stick doesn't need to be moved.
4) Catch the stick as it hits your
palm. You may catch the stick down too far and not on the handle. Practice to
find where your left hand needs to be positioned right after the drop so the
catch is clean. Return to normal by repositioning your left grip.

Firecracker
(Suicide out of a rotating trapeze)

1) Do a trapeze over you're right stick. See Right Trapeze.
2) Place you're left stick through the first 2 strings and continue to put it through the string furthest away from you on the right side.
3) Now, swing the diabolo towards the right making it go under and around the right stick.(At the same time let go of the left stick.)
4) As the diabolo rotates about the right stick, the left stick should spin around the right stick as well.
5. The left stick will have released from the strings and you can catch it after it swings around the diabolo again. Position your left hand thumb up above the diabolo for the catch. This is like the catch used in the Chinese Suicide.
6) Catch and Smile!

Ice Cracker
(Double suicide out of a Chinese Suicide)

Inverse Slap Suicide

1) Do a Right Trapeze, but miss the string so that the diabolo lands away from you. This is where the diabolo does not land on the string but misses on the audience side of the string, so you end up with a horizontal 'string across' and the diabolo hanging off the right stick.
2) Swing the diabolo Clockwise as if you are returning the diabolo to the normal position, but as you do, catch the horizontal 'sting across' string on the axle. Tip: Before you swing the diabolo clockwise position the horizontal 'string across' above the diabolo so when the diabolo rises upward it will easily hit the string and go over the right stick. The diabolo is now hanging below the right stick and kind of looks like it is in an Inverse Trapeze position.
3) Point the Left stick rightward, 'aiming' it at where the string goes over to the right stick. You are about to toss the Left Stick upward so it will begin a clockwise suicide circle around the right stick.
4) Now throw the left stick upward into its clockwise circle, making sure to keep your Left hand in the same position. Turn your left hand's palm down and get ready; for the stick is going to do a full 360 and return to the bottom of your left hand.
5) As the Left stick swings under the diabolo and nears your left hand, it will slow. At the end of the swing, slap the stick downward so that it swings the other away; under the right stick, but missing the diabolo's axle. Note: The Left stick is reversing its path, now going counterclockwise, but it swings nearer you, between you and the diabolo. Keep your Right stick pointing forward throughout this trick.
6) As the left stick swings in its counterclockwise circle, turn your left hand 'thumb up' and position it above the right stick's end. The Left stick should return to your left hand from your right side. You may have to reach out farther to catch the stick since the swinging circle leans a bit toward the audience. Note: This is due to avoiding the diabolo when slapping the left stick in reverse.

Catch the left stick with the left hand and the diabolo should be on open string.

Double Chinese Suicide

1) Do a Right Trapeze.
2) Now, swing the diabolo towards the right making it go under and around the right stick.(At the same time let go of the Left stick.) Note that the strings stay wrapped around as they were after the trapeze.
3) As the diabolo rotates about the right stick, the left stick should spin around the right stick as well. Keep the right stick pointed straight ahead.
4) After the diabolo is around the stick once it should end up as it began, below the right stick hanging on the strings. BUT the left stick continues to fly around the diabolo a second time.
5) Move your left hand so it is just over the end of the right stick which still should be pointing forward. The left stick will finish it's second time around above the right stick's end and can be caught with your left hand right there. Position your left hand, thumb up above the diabolo for the catch. This is like the catch used in the Chinese Suicide.

1) Perform a Double Chinese Suicide.
2). Once the Left Stick has made one full rotation and is beginning the second grab the string which is still suspended beneath the diabolo.
2) You are Grabbing the string that is beginning to unwind as the Left stick continues it's second circle around the diabolo.
3). Allow the Left stick to pass over your right stick and then once beneath the diabolo. As it moves under the axel and back towards you left hand catch the stick as if you were holding a pencil. Tips: This may be easier if you use either your pinky or ring finger to spin the string so that your pointer and middle finger are free to catch the stick. Also, by 'following' the motion of the string with your finger you can reduce the speed of the stick and thus make it easier to catch.
4). Release the string on your left hand.
5) You should now be in a right backside.
6) Release however you want.
Suggestions might be a Single
Fritz Release by adding a Trapeze or a Cross-armed Toss.

Phantom Suicide
(Variation to the Inverse Slap Sucicide trick.)

1) Do a Right Trapeze, but miss the string so that the diabolo lands near you. This is where the diabolo does not land on the string but misses on your side of the string, so you end up with a horizontal 'string across' and the diabolo hanging off the right stick. (NOTE: This is different from the Inverse Slap Suicide beginning.)
2) Swing the diabolo Clockwise as if you are returning the diabolo to the normal position, but as you do, catch the horizontal 'sting across' string on the axle. Tip: Before you swing the diabolo clockwise position the horizontal 'string across' above the diabolo so when the diabolo rises upward it will easily hit the string and go over the right stick. The diabolo is now hanging below the right stick and kind of looks like it is in an Inverse Trapeze position.
3) Point the Left stick rightward, 'aiming' it at where the string goes over to the right stick. You are about to toss the Left Stick upward so it will begin a clockwise suicide circle around the right stick.
4) As the stick approches your left hand, move your hand (rightward a bit) so the stick just misses and instead the string hits the palm of your hand. Grab the string so the stick slaps the top of your hand then springs back.
5) After the stick springs back, let go of the string and the stick should reverse back (counterclockwise) in a suicide circle toward the diabolo.
6) Now aim for the middle of the diabolo so the string hits the diabolo's axle and makes the stick go around and upward.
7) Position your left hand (thumb up) to a spot above the end of your right stick., so you can catch the suiciding stick. (Also, be careful to keep a steady right hand so the right stick doesn't allow the loops around it to slip off.)
8) When the stick reaches about 12 o'clock above the right stick's end, catch the stick.
9) Return your left hand to a normal position, carefully making sure the string loops stay on the right stick.
10) Now swing the diabolo out rightward and upward (right of both sticks), so the diabolo rises into a toss on the right side. (The loops should release off of the right stick freeing the diabolo.)
11) Catch the falling diabolo.
Variation: Step 9) After catching the left stick, place it in the right hand, so both sticks are in the right hand. Be very carful so the loops around the right stick don't slip off.
Variation: Step 10) Point both sticks to the left and toss the diabolo off to the left and upward.
9) Catch the falling diabolo in a Whip Catch.

Boliang's Left Chinese Suicide
(Chinese Suicide from a Left Trapeze)

1) Do a Right Backside. (Release and Recapture) (The strings are now crossed)
2) Do a Left Trapeze. (This may seem a bit different with the strings crossed but it is the same movement.)
3) Now hold the right stick out as you would with the left
stick in a normal Chinese Suicide. See instructions:
While the diabolo is sitting in the trapeze spinning, turn your right stick to point left toward the diabolo's axle. As right stick's end is pointing at the diabolo's axle, move the right stick up or down a bit so it is at a downward 45 degree angle.
4) When you're ready, let go of the right stick. As the stick begins to drop, turn your right hand over so your thumb is up and palm faces left ready to catch the soon-to-return right handstick. Move your hand above the left stick. (Note: Normally with a large diabolo you only need to let go of the stick, if your diabolo is a bit lighter in weight, you may need to push down the stick as it is leaving your hand. This problem can also happen if your hand sticks are heavier than most.)
5) The right stick should travel around the left stick and diabolo, a full circle and return to the awaiting right hand. Catch right stick with right hand.
6) Reposition right stick in your hand to normal.
7) Diabolo is still on on crossed string. Do a crossed
arm toss and catch normal.
Note: Basically the idea is to get on crossed string. After that, you cannot
accelerate with the right stick anymore, because instead of getting faster the
diabolo slows down. Now you can do all the Chinese Suicide stuff on the left.
So this trick should be regarded as the starting point to do Chinese Suicide
tricks to the left. Also possible from the left side:
Left Fire Cracker and Left Fire & Ice Cracker.

Boliang's Reverse Chinese Suicide
(Chinese Suicide from the Inverse Trapeze)

1) Do a Right Inverse Trapeze.
2) Simply throw the left stick above
the diabolo and to the right. Make
sure you throw left stick with enough power for it to begin a suicide path around
the right stick and diabolo.
3) After the left stick travels under the diabolo and finishes it's complete
circle, catch the stick with your left hand. (You
shouldn't have to move your left hand far from it's normal position to catch
the stick.)
4) Point your right stick down so
the string slips off and then point your left stick straight ahead and you are
back to normal.
This is just the opposite of the Chinese
Suicide trick.
(Here the left stick goes from left to right over the diabolo Vs the
regular Chinese Suicide where the left stick goes from left to right under
the diabolo.)
Double Ice Cracker
(Triple suicide out of a Chinese Suicide)

1) Wrap the diabolo twice with the right stick. These are simple counterclockwise movements of the end of your right stick around the diabolo twice and back to normal. The diabolo now has two wraps of string around the axle.
2) Now do a trapeze over you're right stick. See Right Trapeze.
3) Hold the Left stick out and let it go as with the Chinese Suicide.
4) Catch the left stick after it makes one big circle and then two small circles around the Right stick.
Catch the stick as it hits your palm.
Return to normal by repositioning your left grip.
Slow Cracker
(two stick variation release of the Fire and Ice Cracker)

1) Do a slightly different Fire and
Ice Cracker setup where the initial wrap is around the outside of the diabolo.
Follow steps 1a - 1c for instructions.
1a) Wrap the diabolo once with the right
stick but around the outside of the diabolo. This is a counterclockwise movement
of the end of your right stick around the outside of the diabolo where
you reach to the outside of the diabolo as you are wrapping and back
to normal. The diabolo now has one wrap of string around the axle. NOTE: The
same effect can be accomplished with a Left clockwise wrap around the inside
of the diabolo.
1b) Now do a trapeze over you're right
stick. See Right Trapeze.
1c) Move the Left stick into the trapeze strings as with the Firecracker.
2) Swing the diabolo and left stick out around your right as with the Firecracker. The Left stick should make one big circle and then one smaller circle around the Right stick.
3) Wait for the final circle of the left stick and catch the stick.
4) Now with one stick in each hand swing the diabolo out
to the left and release the Right stick as in the Slowcide
suicide trick. Follow steps 4a - 4d for releasing and catching the right stick.
4a) When the diabolo is farthest away from you to the left, let go
of the right handstick.
4b) As the right stick begins to unwind around the diabolo begin to pull
the left handstick to the right.
4c) Your free right hand now needs to be out (thumb up) and ready to
catch the stick. You'll should be catching slightly above where your right handstick
was released from.
4d) Change your grip on the right stick and you should be back to normal.
5) Catch the right stick as it hits your palm. Return to normal by repositioning your right grip.
NOTE: This trick can be a smooth release of the Left stick and catch and then release of the Right stick and catch. Practice can make the rhythm and transition of each movement to become very nice. Adding two wraps in the beginning allows a double Slowcide suicide with the right stick at the end.
Mega Cracker
(Multiple suicide out of a Fire and Ice Cracker Suicide)

1) Wrap the diabolo twice with the right stick. These are simple counterclockwise movements of the end of your right stick around the diabolo twice and back to normal. The diabolo now has two wraps of string around the axle.
2) Now do a trapeze over you're right stick. See Right Trapeze.
3) Move the Left stick into the trapeze strings as with the Firecracker.
4) Swing the diabolo and left stick out around your right as with the Firecracker.
5) Wait for the final circle of the left stick and catch the stick.
Catch the stick as it hits your palm.
Return to normal by repositioning your left grip.

1) Start by wrapping as many Right Trapezes as possible.
2) Now follow the steps of the Firecracker trick.
3) After releasing the stick allow it to unwrap several times before the left hand catch.
Note:Try a longer string to perform a 5-times Fire Cracker (5 trapezes), with a short at least a 2-times should be possible
The X-times Fire Cracker can also be iced ( add one or two right wraps before the trapezes).

1) Do an Inverse Trapeze over you're right stick.
2) Move the string so it is open again for right trapezes but the inverse trapeze is still there.
3) Do 2 Right Trapezes over the right stick. Actually you can do "x" right trapezes. (Although you it may be difficult to fit more than 3 depending on the length of string you use.)
4) Point your left stick leftward toward the axle of the diabolo. As with the Chinese Suicide, hold the left stick handle higher, pointing at the diabolo creating a 45 degree angle with the horizontal.
5) As with a Firecracker exit, give the stick enough speed for the last circle. Drop the left stick, possibly giving it a bit of a push, so the stick begins its two circle counterclockwise suicide around the diabolo. The last circle must be done with the help of the right hand, in that, the right hand needs to slightly 'wave' in the direction of the suicide to help that last circle. If you started with more than two trapezes , remember the"x" trapeze will always need help with a right hand movement.
4) Catch the left stick and do an Inverse Trapeze exist. This is where you toss the diabolo upward, to the right of both sticks so the string loops slip off as the diabolo rises.
5) Catch the diabolo.
Notes: It's a nice trick because suicides and a trapeze release can be combined in a neat way. In step 2, you have one inverse trapeze and several ordinary trapezes 'wrapped' on the right side. the basic idea is just to delay the inverse trapeze exit (the 'Explosion.') In step 3, take care for the last circle.
If you are having problems with this trick, try to just add one trapeze so there is only one suicide circle.

Mikocide

1) Do a Left Trapeze. That is, doing a Trapeze or Stopover move around the left stick.
2) Now do the first two moves of the Half Spaghetti, but don't wrap around the diabolo. That is, move your right stick to the audience side of the left stick and pull back dragging it's string over the center of the left stick. Bring the right stick downward to the right side of the diabolo.
3) Pull the right stick down and let go of it so it hangs there on the right side of the diabolo.
4) Now you are holding everything with your left hand, turn the stick so it points at the audience.
5) Swing the left stick so everything moves counterclockwise in a big circle. (Like you are doing Genocide.)
6) Now your diabolo and the right stick will be rotating around the left stick which is in the center. Note as they rotate around the string is re-wrapping around the left stick and diabolo.
7) Catch the right stick with the right hand when it has done 2 spins around your left stick.
8) Now undo the 2 Left Trapezes that form from the above rotation and smile.

Half String Suicide
(Double suicide out of a Chinese Suicide)

1) Hand your left stick to your right and hold both sticks in your right hand pointing left horizontally. Another way is to do a right hand Whip Catch so your sticks are in your right hand and they are pointing leftward. The diabolo is hanging down below the sticks ends.
2) Now do a left trapeze with your left hand as if it were a left stick. So your right hand is still pointing the sticks left, your left hand has the string wrapped around it and the diabolo is in the middle.
3) Lift the sticks up a bit with your right hand and then toss and let go of the left stick so it begins a clockwise circle around your left hand.
4) Allow the left stick to go around once then on the second circle the string needs to hit the diabolo's axle for the left stick to go around one more time.
5) As the stick come back under toward the left side drop the string out of your left hand and catch the stick just above where your hand was.
6) The diabolo should be on open string and you will need to point your right stick straight forward to be normal.
The Kevorkian
(Two Person Trick. Assisted Suicide )

This basically is any suicide that takes two people to perform. The simplest way is to have one performer start a Chinese Suicide and with another performer standing to his left. The first performer does a Right Trapeze and hands the his left stick to the other performer. The other performer holds the stick in the correct position (see Chinese Suicide instructions) and lets go. The first performer catches the suicide and there you are!
